Terms and Conditions

 

Quote: The price given as a Quote is what we expect to charge you, if there are circumstances that we could not have been aware of, that will affect the price, we will provide you with an updated Quote you have the right to accept the price or decline. Payment will be required for any work completed up to the point you cancel. All quotes are valid for 3 months.

 

Deposit: We require a 20% deposit to be paid on acceptance of your quote, therefore entering into a contract with The Gutter and Cladding Company whereby if you cancel within 14 days a full refund will be issued. After 14 days a cancellation fee will be applied based on costs incurred to that point.

Deposit Guarantee : Pay via Credit Card, Using credit provides you with a credit guarantee and in the event we could not fulfil our obligations, you can action a section 75 to reclaim your deposit.

Final Payments. We require the balance paid on receipt of our invoice which will be e mailed to you once we have completed to your satisfaction to be paid via BACS.

 

Payment for bespoke items : We require payment to be made in stages which will be 20% deposit as stated above, then a further 30% 3 to 4 weeks before the installation date, we will contact you to inform you when this is due, this is to cover bespoke materials ordered for your job and then the final 50% payable on completion of the works.

The payments will reflect work/goods supplied to date.

Please note that staged payments should fairly reflect your ongoing expenditure, and should leave the customer with a reasonable amount to pay on satisfactory completion.

Full payment of the balance is required on satisfactory completion. In the unlikely event you are dissatisfied you are entitled to withhold an amount to cover any corrective work that may be required, however we should be given the opportunity to complete any corrective work.  

 

We work in line with the Supply of Goods & Services Act, which states that any work or service carried out for you must be done with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time and for a reasonable charge (if not agreed beforehand). Any goods/parts provided should be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If in the unlikely event a problem arises, we aim to resolve the issue within a reasonable time.

 

Delay: We will try to complete the work within the agreed time. We are only liable for delays caused by our negligence. Any work will be completed within a reasonable time.

 

Cancellation: If this contract is agreed in your home, you will be given information of your right to cancel within 14 days. This is in line with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Charges) Regulations 2013. If you cancel this contract outside the fourteen days, we reserve the right to deduct/claim the direct costs we have incurred.
