Project Overview

We completed a full exterior transformation of this beach hut using Cedral Lap cladding in Sky Blue with a woodgrain finish.

The project involved stripping back the existing exterior before installing Celotex insulation, a breathable waterproof membrane and a new treated timber batten system. The beach hut and storage boxes were then clad horizontally in Cedral Lap, with the front doors replaced with ply before being clad to match.

Alongside the cladding, we replaced the old felt roof with a Firestone rubber EPDM membrane and installed new white uPVC fascia, soffits and guttering to three sides of the hut.

Project Outcome

The finished beach hut has been completely refreshed from the roof down. Sky Blue Cedral Lap cladding provides the traditional weatherboard appearance associated with a beach hut while offering the durability and low-maintenance benefits of fibre cement.

Cladding the doors and storage boxes to match creates a consistent finish, while the new EPDM roof and white uPVC fascia, soffits and guttering complete the transformation.
